RIP Fr Gus Hill SM

Last night (11 May) Gus Hill died about 8.30 pm in his room at the Home of Compassion, Silverstream.
While recently Gus had physically slowed down, up until a year, eighteen months ago, he could was regularly seen going for a daily walk. Despite physically getting old, his mind was very active, pretty much right to the end. Gus was in his 90′s, I think 93.
Gus’ Vigil will be held at the Home of Compassion, Silverstream on Tuesday 13 May at 7.00 pm. The Funeral will be held at St Mary of the Angels at 1.30 pm on Wednesday 14 May and he will be buried at Karori.
I’m sure Gus would welcome a remembrance in your thoughts and prayers.
